 Chapter III *
Austin's Necklace

Well, after I got up off the ground and recovered from Austin's present, Billy and I left school and walked towards Austin's house to find out why he wasn't there to take it. As we walked, Billy brought up some conversation, as usual.
"So Travis, did you try the school's new french fries today? They weren't too good." Billy expressed his almighty opinion on french fries. Trust me, if there was one guy in the world who knew fast food, it was Billy. He has the gut to prove it. "No, I never eat the school's food. They may have awards for their medical classes, but they sure don't for cooking. Alternatively, anything else for that matter." I replied. Billy sighed. "Travis, you better start eating before you get eaten by a ghost or something!" Billy exclaimed. I rolled my eyes. "Me? Get eaten? Hah. Yeah, whatever." Like that would ever happen. Pfft. "No, I'm serious! What if a g-ghost or monster or something does? That'd be horrible!" Billy exclaimed. I just brushed it off. Billy and his crazy mind.

We walked up to Austin, and we were shocked. There he stood, talking to SAMANTHA, Austin's dream crush that also didn't like him very much. It was like love at first sight. Upon closer inspection, he was wearing a beautiful diamond necklace that shined like a star in the night sky on his neck. Figures, Samantha just wanted to see him for the necklace... My mind wandered for a second, then it hit me. How did he GET That thing in the first place? An idea came to me. "Hey Billy, Austin must have a love potion. How else could Samantha like him?" I said to Billy. Billy's eyes lit up. "AUSTIN! GIVE ME THE LOVE POTION NOW!" He yelled at Austin. "Oh hey guys!" Austin replied. "What love potion?" He asked. It was funny for a moment. Then Billy tackled Austin and started beating on him to try to get in his backpack. I thought about leaving them and just watching, but Billy seemed really violent. I went and tried to break them up, to no avail. Samantha just stood there, taking pictures and laughing. "Hey toots, help me out here?!" I yelled angrily. "No." She replied, and lifted her hand. "I might break a nail." She snickered as she walked away. "Oh, well thanks a lot!! Be careful not to break any nails on your way home! Alternatively, don't break a sweat!" I yelled at her. What a jerk. I got out a pack of gummy bears. "Ohhh Billy! Look what I got!" I teased. Billy got off of him and grabbed them happily. I guess he forgot about the love potion. Austin got up and brushed himself off. He didn't seem mad at all. I took a deep breath. "Billy, why are you so fat?" I asked. They both glared at me. "What?! It was an honest question!" A police officer pulled up and got onto us for fighting in the first place. Not wanting to anger the law or anything, we left. Then we came back ten minutes later. Eh. "Okay... So Austin. Spill. Where in all that is holy did you get a diamond necklace?!" I demanded to know."Billy, don't you wanna know too?" I asked. Billy just stood there, picking his nose. Ughh.. Austin trod his foot on the ground and seemed nervous. "Okay I'll tell. However, you can't tell anybody! Nobody at all!" He explained. Billy and I nodded.
